I teach a flowing style of yoga that nurtures, energises and deeply relaxes the body and mind.

My aim in my classes is to help you find energy and joy in your practice, to feel the connection between your body, mind, breath and spirit, and to understand yourself more deeply through your practice. 

I begin my classes with a focus on the breath, and we then flow from pose to pose, gradually warming up. We then move into energising sequences and deeply held poses to build energy, strength and flexibility. I conclude each class with deep relaxation and pranayama to balance and revitalise both body and mind. 

I trained in the Radiant Light style of yoga, an uplifting balance of dynamic flowing sequences and nurturing poses, designed to bring ease of movement to the body and relaxed focus to the mind. Through an awareness of the breath, this style energises while developing a feeling of balance and peace within. I feel deeply blessed to be able to share what I have learnt from my teachers Akash and Adam Bornstein. 

I have been teaching yoga for 10 years, and restorative yoga for 6 years, and am a fully registered yoga teacher. After completing Level 1 and Level 2 yoga teacher training, I have gained both prenatal yoga and restorative yoga certification. I am a registered Relax and Renew Trainer (trained by Judith Lasater), have completed Level 1 iRest Yoga Nidra training, and have studied Viniyoga with Saraswati Vasudevan in South India. I hold full Level 3/Senior membership with Yoga Australia. 

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a deeply healing and nourishing practice that restores the nervous system to a calmer state. It is different from more active styles of yoga, as the focus is on supporting the body in long-hold poses so the body can rest in the pose while gaining deep benefits for the nervous system. 

I trained in restorative yoga with Judith Lasater (one of the world’s authorities on restorative yoga) and am a registered Relax and Renew Trainer. I have been teaching restorative yoga for over 6 years, and have taught hundreds of hours of restorative classes. I have assisted in Lizzie Lasater’s restorative trainings several times, and have been honoured to share my love of restorative yoga by teaching several restorative teacher trainings in the past year.
